Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Career Self-Efficacy terhadap Career Choice pada mahasiswa Generasi Z tingkat akhir di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Negeri Padang, serta menguji peran Career Exploration sebagai variabel mediasi dalam hubungan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan survei terhadap 100 responden, yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan proportionate stratified random sampling, dan data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berbasis skala Likert. Analisis data menggunakan metode Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan alat analisis SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Career Self-Efficacy memiliki pengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap Career Choice. Sementara itu, Career Self-Efficacy berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Career Exploration, serta Career Exploration berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Career Choice. Selain itu, Career Exploration terbukti memediasi hubungan antara Career Self-Efficacy dan Career Choice, menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa dengan efikasi diri tinggi lebih mungkin membuat keputusan karier yang tepat jika mereka secara aktif terlibat dalam eksplorasi karier. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan bagi mahasiswa dan institusi pendidikan mengenai pentingnya eksplorasi karier dalam pengambilan keputusan karier. Institusi pendidikan disarankan untuk memperkuat program bimbingan karier guna meningkatkan kesiapan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi dunia kerja
